What can be transferred?

DVD to USB: readable personal home-video DVDs can be transferred to digital video files. VHS to digital: full-size VHS home movies can be captured for modern playback. Film to digital: ask about Standard 8mm and Super 8 reels; format, condition and transfer support must be confirmed first. Cassette to digital: compact audio cassettes can preserve family voices, interviews and personal recordings as audio files.

A clear quote before the work starts

Send Chad a photo of what you have, the number of items and any known recording lengths. The quote confirms supported formats, pricing, estimated turnaround and how you will receive the files. Tell us about damaged discs, mouldy tapes or fragile film before arranging a handover. Transfers preserve what is available on the original recording; picture and sound faults may remain.

Keep the originals. Make a second digital copy.
